Our Services

Atteberry Eye Centers is an optometrist practice specializing in comprehensive family vision care. Our philosophy is to provide quality eye care to each and every patient. We combine today’s modern technology with personal attention directed specifically to the needs of our patients.

Comprehensive Eye Health Exams

During a comprehensive eye health exam, the doctors at Atteberry Eye Centers will assess the entire visual system, including checking for any glasses or contact lens prescription and providing a complete assessment of the overall health of your eyes. These exams can lead to the diagnosis of emerging vision or health problems that often don’t have any signs or symptoms. Many eye diseases and health issues can be detected, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and some cancers. Comprehensive eye exams occur every year to monitor for these conditions.

Eyeglass Prescription

As part of the comprehensive eye exam, you will receive a personalized eyeglass prescription to fit your lifestyle needs. These prescriptions can vary from a simple pair of everyday glasses to glasses worn for reading or school work only. We believe that a person's visual needs change daily, and one pair fits all is not always the solution. Leaving with a prescription for both computer glasses and everyday progressive/bifocal glasses is just one of the ways we personalize our eyeglass prescription to fit your lifestyle needs.

Contact Lens Fittings and Evaluations

Contact lenses are medical devices that offer glasses-free vision correction. Contact lenses are just as customizable as glasses. We see first-time contact lens wearers who are just starting the process and long-term contact lens wearers. We offer fittings for daily and monthly soft disposable, soft disposable multifocal, RGP, and hybrid lenses.

Dry Eye Diagnosis and Treatment

Stinging, burning, scratchy, and even WATERY eyes are all symptoms of dry eyes. Dry eyes can even cause increased glare at night and blurry vision during the day. Dry eye results from either insufficient tear production or poor quality tears. Dry eye therapy is more than just eye drops. The team at Atteberry Eye Centers is here to help diagnose and treat your dry eye with an individualized treatment plan.

Diagnosis and Management of Eye Disease

Eye diseases can present with little to no signs or symptoms. During an annual comprehensive eye exam, screening for all eye diseases is performed. Atteberry Eye Centers uses the latest diagnostic and imaging techniques to help diagnose and treat various conditions, including glaucoma, macular degeneration, Fuchs dystrophy, and keratoconus.

LASIK Consultation and Co-management

Vision correction surgery can be a valuable tool in helping achieve your ideal spectacle-free vision. We work with the best refractive surgeons in the area and can get the consultation process started.

Cataract Surgery Referral and Co-management

Cataracts are a condition where the natural lens in our eye begins to sustain changes that result in decreased vision and increased night glare. Cataracts become visually significant later in life. We evaluate them at every comprehensive eye exam. We work with many surgeons in the area, so when the time is right, we will get you to the right surgeon and help manage the process the whole way through.

Pediatric Eye Care

Children's eyes grow and change rapidly within the first six years of their life. The number of school vision screenings performed has increased over the years, but they often miss up to 75% of children with vision problems. The American Optometric Association recommends a baseline exam between 6 and 12 months, a comprehensive eye exam between ages 3 and 5, and annual comprehensive eye exams starting before first grade.

Color Vision Screenings

Color vision deficiency is the inability to distinguish certain shades of color. Screenings for color vision deficiencies happen during comprehensive eye exams. Color vision deficiency is often an inherited condition. However, some ocular diseases can present with a loss of color recognition.

See to Learn Program

See to Learn is a program to help make sure every child’s early education is unaffected by vision problems. The See To Learn program allows parents to schedule a no-cost vision assessment for their 3-year-old. At Atteberry Eye Centers, we are all providers for the See to Learn program.

Emergency Eye Care

If you are currently in need of urgent ocular assistance, contact us immediately. If you have sustained an injury, please call 911 or seek care immediately. We are equipped to deal with emergency eye care and will do our best to help you with your emergency.

Contact Lenses

Contact lenses can be fit for a variety of vision needs. Farsighted, nearsighted, astigmatism or patients needing bifocal correction are all candidates for contact lenses. At Atteberry Eye Centers, we offer the latest technology in contact lenses.

Multifocal Contacts

Patients that require bifocal or trifocal glasses can still wear contact lenses. We offer both monovision contact lens systems and multifocal contact lenses for our bifocal patients.

Soft Contact Lenses

Soft contact lenses are worn daily and then replaced at set intervals. We offer daily contacts, lenses worn and disposed of daily, and monthly contacts, worn daily and replaced monthly.

Rigid Glass Permeable Lenses

Rigid gas permeable lenses can be fit for irregular corneas or in patients needing advanced optical correction. We fit a variety of RGP lenses to fit our patient’s visual demands.

Optical

We offer a variety of quality frames and lenses to meet your vision needs.

Our Technology

Optos

We offer retinal screening images at every comprehensive eye exam. These images produce a wide-field picture of your retina (the inside of your eye). These photos allow us to monitor eye health year to year.

OCT

OCT images produce cross-sectional scans that allow us to detect and monitor eye diseases and conditions.

ICare

Intraocular pressure (eye pressure) gets measured at every visit. This new technology can check your eye pressure without an air puff!

Visual Field

Visual field testing maps out your range of vision. Visual field information is then used to track the progression of glaucoma and even detect neurological changes.
