Dr. Michael Atteberry is originally from Atchison, Kansas where he graduated from Benedictine College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry in 2006. He earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Missouri – St. Louis College of Optometry in 2010 where he was a Gold Key Member and a member of Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society. He is currently an active member of the American Optometric Association, is the Northeast Kansas zone president of the Kansas Optometric Association and participates in the See To Learn program.
Dr. Atteberry opened Atteberry Eye Center in 2010 at the same time he bought into Dr. Malone’s practice in Topeka. He splits his time between the two locations where he practices primary care optometry with an interest in contact lenses and disease management.
Dr. Atteberry currently resides in Lawrence with his wife, Kadi and their three daughters; Charlie, Sadie and Kacy. They have two dogs; a boxer named Daisy and a lhasapoo named Tucker. While not practicing optometry, he enjoys working on his house, wood working, playing guitar and football.
